We seek an innovative Director, Brand & Creative. This role will report into the CMO and will be responsible for brand and creative strategy and execution across our portfolio of brands.
Our Client is a developer of standout eCommerce brands.
Our Client is led by founders with extensive experience on the Amazon platform and in the eCommerce ecosystem. They have developed proprietary algorithms and technologies to inform our acquisition strategy as well as in-house new product development and creative capabilities to build de novo brands and products at scale. With our unique approach, we quickly identify promising brands and grow them to their full potential.
They have raised over $500M in equity and debt to pursue our vision and are backed by industry-leading consumer-focused Private Equity.
They are projecting to continue adding brands and products at a rapid pace over the coming years and are looking for high-caliber and well-rounded team members with the capabilities to help us achieve our ambitious vision.
DAY-TO-DAY’s:
- In this newly created role, you will be responsible for bringing our brands to life by helping define their brand personality, story, and visual identity
- You will also lead our internal creative team and oversee creative strategy and execution across the portfolio ensuring brand consistency across all channels
- You will be a smart risk taker, constantly pushing boundaries to help us think outside the box and make our brands stand out
- You will lead and manage our brands organic social presence, defining and implementing social media vision and strategy at brand and channel level
- You will be passionate about experimentation utilizing data and structured testing plans to create and improve pioneering and high impact assets
- You will lead and expand a team of onshore/offshore designers, copywriters and creative project managers creating a tech enabled internal center of excellence focused on quality and efficient service
- You will be an expert at developing high quality assets for amazon at scale, and have a broad understanding of best practices for areas like packaging, website design, video, advertising, and email
- You will maintain strong partnerships with our media teams ensuring assets meet and exceed performance goals
- You will be an exceptional tactician with a passion for improving operational processes and desire to leverage AI based technologies to support asset creation
ABOUT YOU:
- 8+ years of experience as a creative and brand leader with strong operational and project management experience and experience scaling a high volume of assets and types
- 3+ years of leadership experience within a creative agency or D2C setting with a contemporary brand
- Collaborative attitude focused on driving team excellence and servicing internal customers
- Conscientious, efficient, and detail-oriented; able to lead and impart best practices for optimizing how things work in data-driven ways
- Understanding and experience with Amazon marketing ecosystem
- Excited to have a leadership role in a rapidly growing startup
WHAT YOU BRING IN YOUR PORTFOLIO:
- Adobe product suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator), and video editing software (Final Cut Pro or similar), project management (Asana or similar)
- Experience with AI based technologies for asset creation/optimization a plus
