VP, Customer Engagement Group (Academic Enrichment)

OVERVIEW:
The VP, Customer Engagement Group will lead our client’s strategy team, defining, evaluating, and leading critical growth initiatives and programs. This is a highly cross-functional role that works with multiple teams (analytics, sales, communications, product, etc.) to deliver customer loyalty, retention, and growth marketing campaigns.
This position will report directly into the CEO, have exposure to the BOD. The VP will manage, mentor, and retain a small, cross channel marketing team.
GOALS:
- Identify, define, evaluate, and drive key strategic lifecycle marketing initiatives and support the business developing short-term and long-term customer engagement objectives,
- Develop, lead, and oversee all brand strategy creation, content development, planning for email, push, channels to increase new customer engagement and reacquire churned customers
- Maintain a holistic view of growth opportunities across departments and work with senior leadership to inform and develop the customer engagement & growth strategies,
- The VP will help develop new capabilities for our client including further developing a robust content marketing capability, new martech tools, analytical frameworks, etc.,
- Identify products/ services expansion opportunities, understand industry trends and the competitive landscape
- Driving, optimizing & owning the marketing budget
- Lead transformation and digital growth strategy projects
- Analyze business processes, recommend improvements, and lead change
- Work collaboratively with business unit leadership functional Teams
ABOUT YOU:
- 7+ years of professional experience including a minimum of 5 years previous education, EdTech and/or mission driven marketing experience
- Proven experience delivering highly targeted, sophisticated campaigns and influencing customer business outcomes
- Past experience & strong ability influencing highly educated customer bases through their purchasing decisions
- Trusted thought partner with an understanding of how to deliver both personal and team goals
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Capacity to work independently as a lead part of a team with a “get stuff done” mentality
- Ability to self-manage progress with a high degree of accountability
- Highly developed analytical abilities and data savvy
- Excellent written, oral, presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to travel (~10%) when required
